Cindy's Newsletter #1 - New Beginnings
Kicking off my new newsletter!
If you’re seeing this and you didn’t signed up recently, you probably signed up on my website cindypotvin.com a few years ago, directly or to get my old “5 Hacks to Learn New Skills” course.
It’s a corny title, but in that case I think it’s appropriate.
Since I was last decently active on my blog, I had a child in the tail end of a pandemic (no hot vax summer for me while 6 month pregnant, unfortunately), had a year of maternity-leave-with-some-side-stuff and just left my full time job of 12 years to jump into the uncertain world of freelancing.
To top it off, the the world is entering an high inflation period, which I’ve never seen in my working life. I knew it was possible, but usually interest rates went down, not up!
So I figured now would be a good time to restart writing and share more with all of you. I intend to keep the newsletter about the digital economy, building SaaS and my freelancing life.

Side projects updates
I’m gearing up to sell handmade socks made on an antique machine. I’m also cooking and canning some delicious chicken broth as I’m writing this. It’s just really large pot full of water, chicken bones and a bag of carrots, celery and onion scraps. Totally worth it!
